On Saturday 3rd December, our Ladies’ Night was a smash! More than 100 guests gathered at The Grand Botanical in Birmingham for fabulous food and sparkling company. The laughter ran high and so did the funds — as our wonderful ladies raised £36,000 to sponsor 19 needy families.

Team Salam worked incredibly hard to organise the event for the community. There was a show-stopping mocktail bar draped in dry ice, cheese boards and canapes to kick off the evening – followed by a delicious 3-course dinner plus a fabulous raffle for one night only. At 9.30pm, the live DJ took the floor and the dancing started…

Fund…Raising the Roof!

Our objective was to raise awareness and funds to sponsor more families. Team Salam talked about the families living in desperate conditions and explained why we want to sponsor them – helping them to pay for heating or healthcare costs so that healthy adults can work, and healthy kids can go to school (we can pay for that too). We invited our guests to help by making a donation, pledge or direct debit.

Our ladies responded with incredibly generous donations – enough for Salam to sponsor another 19 families, totalling £36,480. Some of our guests went away with a determination to raise more!
