DELIVERING ESSENTIAL HEALTHCARE IN LEBANON
07.04.26 — In the current situation, our medical centre remains a beacon of hope to the community of Shebaa in Lebanon. Please pray that our devoted team can continue to support people.
Strikes have been made on the outskirts of Shebaa, but our doors are still open. Our team of medical staff is working in exceptionally challenging conditions to deliver essential and emergency healthcare.
Health services in Lebanon have suffered greatly in the last few years, which is why our Shifa Clinic has become so important to the local people. It provides a complete service from screenings and tests to diagnosis and treatment, with an onsite pharmacy supplying free medicine. In 2025, it served 15,355 patients and the demand is growing.
Serving the community
Opened by Salam Charity in 2022, our flagship Shifa Clinic is a modern health centre with 10 departments and an Emergency Room.
It was a significant build for us, being fully equipped with advanced scanning, testing and treatment equipment. We hired a large team of staff, with qualified doctors in 10 specialties as well as nurses and assistants. There’s also a driver who collects patients with mobility difficulties.
The departments include paediatrics, cardiology, gastroenterology and orthopaedics. There’s an on-site pharmacy, X-ray and Ultrasound facilities, so many patients can be diagnosed and treated on site.
Everyday services at the Shifa Clinic
The Emergency Room treats patients who have high blood pressure, respiratory infections, and gastrointestinal illness. Our doctors in different departments monitor patients with ongoing conditions. And day to day, our Shifa Clinic also provides important services like:
- Breast cancer screenings (early detection and second stage)
- Antenatal services
- A complete vaccination programme for everybody
- Dental care awareness sessions
Help to keep the doors open
Please include our Shifa team and the medical centre itself in your prayers this month.
The Shifa Clinic is one of our flagship health projects, but it costs a lot to maintain, and we welcome your support. You can make a regular donation to this project at the top of the page.
